WINTER ARC · FIELD GUIDE

Privacy and local data controls

This prototype has no account, remote database, analytics SDK, advertising tracker or automatic notification. Your arc is stored in the browser profile and origin where you create it.

What is stored

The local library holds up to eight plans: one current plan and archived seasons. Each retains its name, start date, daily rules, checks, day states, saved notes, reviews and three milestones with evidence. One previous active plan can be retained in a recovery slot; a preference stores the viewed date. Older app copies are preserved during migration until you explicitly clear local data. English and Chinese use the same app-owned storage.

Unsaved setup, note, milestone and review drafts, and the last 20 workspace undo actions stay in this tab’s memory. The fictional example uses an isolated in-memory repository and does not write to your real library. They are not uploaded. Leaving or reloading ends undo history and may discard unsaved drafts. The app warns before leaving with an unsaved note.

Exports and sharing

Plan v4 JSON includes one complete plan and its milestones. Library JSON contains all saved plans and archives. The legacy v3 export omits milestones but preserves the original arc fields. Daily CSV includes dates, checks and notes; summary CSV contains only period counts, without private writing. Printed grids include the arc name, dates, rules, checks and R/M state labels, but exclude notes. Review worksheets include saved reflection text and current statistics; they exclude daily notes and unsaved drafts. The separate 92-day template never reads your arc. Exported files are ordinary, unencrypted files; anyone with access to them can read them.

A rule template uses a separate schema containing only the rule text you preview. It excludes the arc name, dates, identifiers, check-ins, day states, reviews and notes. Your rule text may itself reveal private information. Edit it before sharing. The app does not send files or messages to anyone and does not create public result URLs.

Your controls

Open the tracker to export, restore or clear local data. Clear local data asks for confirmation and removes every saved plan and archive, milestones, legacy and recovery copies, and the resume preference. It also clears this tab’s drafts and undo. It does not delete downloaded files or other browser profiles. Before clearing a nonempty library, download its complete JSON and select that file for exact content verification; a single-plan export is insufficient. Save drafts first. Old recovery slots and preferences are outside library JSON, so preserve any needed recovery copy separately.

Browser settings can also erase site data. Private browsing may remove it when the session ends. Switching browser, device, address, protocol or port can show an empty tracker because the storage origin changed. There is no cloud copy to retrieve.

Boundaries

Local storage is not encrypted by this app and is accessible to someone using this browser profile. Download only backups you trust and review before replacement. Do not rely on this prototype as the only copy of an important record.

Winter Arc is part of Week / Paper at printablecalendar.site, operated by ZF Wang and hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, page-request paths and browser information to deliver and protect the site; see its privacy policy. Winter Arc pages do not load the main site’s visitor analytics or upload saved plans, notes, backups or exported files. Other Week / Paper pages have their own visit-statistics disclosure. Browser storage belongs to this website origin: other scripts on the same origin can access it. External reference links have their own policies. These pages require no external fonts or assets.

Hosted configuration reviewed October 15, 2026. Use Export library on the old localhost address, then review and restore that JSON here to move an existing plan. A different website origin cannot automatically read your old browser data.
